Born and raised in Jackson, Dr. Anna McVey graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in May 2012 and joined Mississippi Dental Center immediately thereafter. A recipient of the award for High Achievement for Persons with Disabilities, Dr. McVey possesses tremendous compassion. Her gentle spirit is evident daily as she engages all range of patients- from toddlers to geriatrics. She believes in providing highly personalized care to achieve the utmost standards of oral health, hygiene, and aesthetics.
Trained in the rigors of western dental medicine, Dr. McVey embraces an organic lifestyle and is open to holistic approaches in treatment, when possible.
She is a graduate of Jackson Preparatory School in 2003, and the University of Mississippi in 2007. For one year prior to dental school, she coached Cross Country and Track & Field at Jackson Preparatory School. Dr. McVey is the daughter of Drs. John and Emily McVey. Her father is the managing partner of Jackson Eye Associates. Her mother is an assistant professor at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She is married to Micah Usry who is employed by Sunbelt Forest Products. They welcomed precious Taylor Jane in June of 2014 and Oliver Chase in May of 2017. They currently reside in Jackson and attend First Presbyterian Church of Jackson.
